Hope your week has been great. September is still a great time to transition your wardrobe into Fall. Not only do I start transitioning with different Fall colors but also with warmer fabrics like today’s peony pink bell sleeve top.

Today’s post is for sure a style post but I also wanted to talk about a few things pertaining to blog photos in general. So first I am gushing about my peony pink bell sleeve top. What made me buy it besides the cute sleeves and the color was the fabric. I know that sounds boring but it’s the truth. The other day, I was shopping for items I can wear with jeans or wear with skirts for work. Houston takes a while to really cool down so I am still buying plenty of short sleeve tops. But my peony pink bell sleeve top is a thicker fabric so it’s literally a happy medium between Houston weather right now and transition into Fall. My top was a treasure find for sure and I have already gotten so many compliments on it at the office. I have already worn it tons of times and I haven’t had it for long lol.

Ok so the photos above obviously make the top look like a different color. Truth be told, we were taking more street style photos and the cranky security guard asked us to leave. We had shot there before and never had any issues. It was quite bizarre considering we weren’t on the private property. It was already late so the sun was out bright. I decided to just keep those photos we had and we went to a different spot for the detail shots. I know the top looks so different with lighting but that’s what happens all the time for bloggers.

Bloggers like myself that want quality photos will seek shade so that the outfit stands out most. Lighting and angles are everything in photography. With that being said, outdoor photography cannot be controlled the same way that indoor studio photos can be. The sun comes in and out, there are shadows or buildings close by that either block the lighting or make the lighting look strange. It can be quite a challenge. So yeah the photos in this blog post are quite different because of all that. The last photos you can tell are warmer because we were in an area where lots of light was coming in. Bottom line, I only feature things in my blog I like.  I do not try to manipulate the color of my clothes either. The great challenge of outdoor photography sometimes is to blame for colors looking different. If you ever have questions, email me.

Take care,
