Red Plaid and Denim Outfit: Why Plaid is so Popular for Fall and Winter

One of the best patterns for fall and winter is plaid so today I am talking about one of my favorite patterns for this time of the year.

Plaid patterns in jackets, shirts, and scarf’s etc come out in full force during fall and winter. Plaid is very popular this time of the year and it is easy to see why. First, plaid is a pattern anyone can wear and guys can rock plaid just as much as ladies. Next, plaid could be dressed up like this outfit here or you can wear it casual like this outfit here. In addition to, plaid usually comes in several different colors so it is easy to mix and match with. Red plaid takes it to another level. A red plaid and denim outfit just screams fall and winter to me. Red plaid and denim outfit is a classic style to get into the holiday spirit with your wardrobe. This red plaid jacket is a must have.

This red plaid jacket is one of the most comfortable jackets I have gotten recently. I actually wore it on the plan ride to see my grandparents in Missouri during Thanksgiving. I live in Houston which really does not say cold in the winter. But in Missouri it sure does get cooler. The jacket is super cozy but I never felt overheated in it. I paired it with my black ribbed turtle neck sweater. A black turtle neck sweater is a basic essential for fall and winter.

Next, I paired the look with my favorite pair of jeans that has been on repeat almost every outfit I wear. I also added my super comfortable pointed toe booties because boots and booties are in season right now. Also I have featured these particular black booties before and styled them like this and this.
