One of the hottest trends right now is velvet. I see velvet dresses and boots everywhere right now. Velvet is simply classic and can be worn into the winter months as well. Today I am talking about a velvet and lace street style look.

In this outfit I was bringing New York street style to Houston. I live in the big city so street style is always in. I love classic street style pieces like this wine colored velvet blazer. The velvet blazer is a showstopper. It is so soft and feminine. I love that I can wear it now and into the winter months with some longer boots and a sweater underneath for extra warmth. Pictures do not do the blazer justice. It is a stunner! They are selling out of the sizes fast. I just order it and I already see low stock. Pairing the wine colored velvet blazer with a lace cami top was a perfect addition to add an extra feminine touch. The blazer didn’t need anything to compete with it so I kept it simple with the black lace cami.

Next, I added a black asymmetrical skirt with gold button details. I have a thing for asymmetrical skirts like this outfit post here.  I got the skirt during Express’s fall sale so this lovely skirt sold out fast. I linked a similar style from Express then another option as well. The skirt compliments the outfit by adding that street style vibe without looking harsh. For accessories, I added my go to black pointed toe booties that I have featured in this post before. They are super comfortable and a timeless piece to have in your wardrobe. Finally, I added a layered choker to give my exposed neck line some style and added some simple gold rings. I have linked both below. Thank you for reading this velvet and lace street style look. I love feedback in the comments as well!
