It’s back to the office for me today and it’s been getting warmer in Houston. Now that Spring is here. It’s time to shop for lighter weight options for work. Personally, I love wearing dresses to work and pretty much only wear dresses in Spring and Summer because they are cute, but they’re cooler for the warmer temperatures.  But finding a dress you can wear to the office and style for dinner or church is sometimes challenging. You want to look cute but work appropriate.

When I saw this dress, I immediately though about how perfect it was for work. It covers all bases lol and gingham is such a fun print for spring and summer. I love that it’s super easy to button up and slip into. It is sleeves but it is wide enough to cover your bra straps. For the office, you can add a basic blazer or maybe a colored blazer to it for styling. The blazer I have is a favorite of mine because it’s not long sleeve and already cuffed. This is a purchase from last year but I am glad they still carry it because it is a classic. When it comes to your shoes with this dress, you could keep your work shoes simple or add a pop of color like I did.  This outfit is perfect of the office but I totally picture this being a fun teacher’s outfit. It’s feminine and professional at the same time. Finally, you could wear this Gingham dress to dinner or church and add some heels to it or spring wedges for a playful twist.
