Houndstooth Poncho For all Year Long

Happy December 1st.  This is my favorite month of the year. The holiday season is beautiful and merry. I love all the Christmas Lights and Decorations and the fun outfits. Most of all I love spending time with friends and family sharing the glory of Christ’s birth. Today, I am kicking off the Christmas month celebration with this Houndstooth Poncho.

What I love about Houndstooth is that is it timeless. It is a pattern that has been around for ages and it works for any woman. Especially when the houndstooth pattern is the classic black and white (like this poncho), it really becomes versatile and can be paired with any other color. This Houndstooth Poncho is from a local business in Houston, where I live. I am all about supporting boutiques like Jess Lea Boutique. My posts in the past have the same message that it is important to support business in your area and small business in other areas. Especially this holiday season, I know the lines can be long and the traffic can be terrible. But please support local shops in your area or see if they have online options for their shop. These local and small business owners have a dream and passion for their shop but also they show strength in the community with their business. When that money is put back into the community, the community thrives.

I kept this look classy and sophisticated. You can pull this off and any woman can pull this look off.  This poncho will sell out fast because this shop is popular. The Houndstooth Poncho is light enough to be worn all year long. Because it is cooler, I paired it with a red sweater. The classic leather pencil skirt adds a professional touch to it. For accessories, I wore a silver and black necklace and earrings with a cute floral black purse that I have featured before in my Always look at the Bright Side post. It is the cutest. The boots have also been featured in my other poncho look in fall here.  Merry Christmas already. I am happy to say that! Have a great day.
