Happy Tuesday! Today’s  with a post about how to dress up plaid for the Fall. Today’s look is my first from my recent trip to Vermont this past week.

Around Fall time, stores have plaid clothing everywhere. Plaid shirts are most common with jeans and boots or plaid dresses with booties and a denim jacket. I see lot of plaid pj’s and scarfs as well. There’s something about plaid that is such a fun pattern for Fall with the red or burgundy shades. My plaid button skirt screamed Fall to me. It was time for me to buy some work outfits the other day. It’s hard for me to buy work clothes because it doesn’t seem as exciting lol. But my plaid button skirt easily won me over. Actually, I bought some stuff and left then came back to get the skirt because I kept thinking about it.

What I love about my plaid skirt is it can be dressed up for work or for a date night or even church. The plaid skirt would be great with a blazer and blouse for work or a blouse for church. You could even wear it with wedges or ballet flats for work and maybe heels for church. I went for a more dinner outfit approach with a simple grey v neck pullover that is versatile with anything. Also adding my over the knees boots kept it more dinner appropriate. This plaid skirt is so cute that you don’t have to do much with it. It’s super easy to dress up plaid skirts with a certain blouse or shoes. My recommendation is to keep the top and or shoes solid colors to not have too much pattern going on. This keeps it dressy and classy looking. Sizing I chose the 0 petite since the brand fits a little bigger and longer.

My over the knees boots are $54 which almost sounds too good to be true. I really love them. I actually like them better than my $200 Michael Kors one. They are slimming and stay tighter on the leg. They seem to maybe run a tad big so if you float in between sizes, size down.

Take care,
