Happy weekend and Happy Good Friday! Today I’m sharing how to dress up shorts for Spring Season with Spring Pastels.
Now that it’s Spring, the temperatures are warming up and it’s time to break out shorts. It’s been very warm in Houston per usual so shorts weather has definitely been here for us. I know it’s still cooler some places but it’s fun to start wearing shorts in Spring. I’ve never been much into shorts but this past year I’ve really had fun styling shorts. One of my favorite ways to style shorts is to dress them up.
When you think of shorts, you think of casual outfits right? I have always associated shorts with casual sandals or sneakers and tees. But now I know how easy and classy it is to dress up shorts. When you dress up shorts, of course start out with dressy shorts that are more of a dress pant material instead of denim, cargo, or lounge wear material.
When it comes to colors and patterns for shorts in Spring, you can find a stripe or floral pattern shorts and pair it with simple colored blouses. My white Bell Sleeve blouse is so comfy and flattering on. You can style pastel colors together like I did with my baby blue shorts. I added simple pops of the perfect Spring color, which is blush, with blush pink earrings and pumps. Finish with a good handbag and even sunnies to really make the outfit look sophisticated!
Also when you dress up shorts, shoes definitely matter. My blush pink pumps are so comfy and for sure make this outfit dressier than if I wore flats or a casual sandal. These types of pumps are a shoe to pair with shorts that keep it classy and sassy all at the same time lol.
