Today’s Tuesday Treat is all about spicing up a classic stripe shirt. Plus I talk about why I am focusing more on reworking my wardrobe into different pieces.
One of my must haves for my wardrobe is stripe shirts. They are classy and can be dresses up or down. I wear my stripe shirts for work under a blazer. I do wear the semi sheer material ones with polyester fabric versus actual tee shirt cotton material. That is a dresser version.
My stripe shirt is perfect to even transition from work to dinner by throwing on a pair of heels and jeans or some women wear dress pumps to work or wedges. I actually wore this outfit to work before I took photos and just switched out to jeans. It was fun to spice up the look with a leather jacket. I wear blazers so much for work that wearing a leather jacket was a nice switch.
Leather jackets can give you a cool girl vibe without being a biker chick you know what I mean. Over the years, I have tried a lot of leather jackets that didn’t work. They were too bulky and no flattering. This leather jacket I am wearing is flattering and comes in a little to accentuate the waist. It comes in several colors. It is great to add to your wardrobe whether it’s with a shirt for work or pairing it with a blouse.
My leather jacket is something I have been reworking to make different outfits out of a lot recently especially with cooler temperatures. Because there is so much you can style with a leather jacket, this is a great investment piece. I recently styled it on my Instagram below (iPhone photography lol) and I have styled it on my blog before with a skirt and booties. This year I want to make more of an effort to rework my wardrobe.
Reworking my wardrobe has always been important to me but especially now as I am blogging more. Blogging is very expensive in terms of buying content but I love the challenge of mix and matching pieces I have with getting new. We all should budget. I would encourage you to not every think you have to get something new all the time when it comes to wardrobe staples like a classic stripe shirt or leather jacket. Spend your money on different tops or dresses and invest occasionally on wardrobe staples like coats, jackets, and jeans. This is an easy way to be able to budget, still be on style, and rework your wardrobe.
