Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Today, it is back to the office for me and a lot of people. Today’s style guide on how to layer a classic button up shirt with a blazer is the perfect strategy for reviving your work Wear wardrobe.

First, I am such a fan of blazers and wear them almost every day for work. A classic blazer is something that you can never go wrong with. Last Monday, I featured this blazer because I really loved the modern twist to it. It is called the aviator cutaway blazer. It has quickly become my go to blazer I have already worn it several times and mixed and matched it different ways. For example, layering a classic button up shirt under the blazer is really a fun twist to sometimes a routine and maybe boring work wear look. I like to mix up work styles.

The classic button up shirt really works with this blazer because it is more tailored and the stripe details add a lot of style to it. I would not recommend wearing a looser button up shirt with a blazer. This look works because the button up shirt is tailored and the cut of the blazer is tailored as well. This type of layering style with the blue striped classic button up shirt and blazer is something that can be worn also with jeans not just a skirt for work. Additionally, I chose to unbutton the ends of the striped button up shirt and fold it over the blazer. Always make an outfit your own and I did that just to kind of make it more personal.

Finally, I love the color combination of the blues and the greens. Don’t be afraid to wear different shades of the same color or colors. I added the emerald green pencil skirts for work. Lastly I added some blue pumps and a blue handbag to finish off the look. Thank you so much for reading today’s post. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Love, Naomi Noel
